Our prices
Top Accountants bookkeeping starts from $495 a month, and the medium package from $995 a month. BAS preparation and lodgement by a Registered Tax Agent are included, as are monthly reports. Every engagement starts with a written fixed-fee quote. See our bookkeeping service.
What drives the price
- Number of bank and card transactions each month
- Payroll: number of employees and pay frequency (Payday Super means super on every pay run)
- Number of bank accounts, cards and payment platforms
- Inventory, e-commerce platforms or multiple GST treatments
- Catch-up or clean-up work on messy files
- Monthly versus quarterly reporting
Fixed fee or hourly?
Hourly billing can look cheaper but makes costs unpredictable. A fixed monthly fee tells you what you’ll pay, and encourages efficient processes like bank feeds and receipt capture.
Is bookkeeping tax deductible?
Bookkeeping fees for your business are generally a deductible business expense. Fees paid to a registered tax agent for managing your tax affairs, such as preparing your tax return, are also generally deductible.
Check registration
If your bookkeeper prepares or lodges your BAS for a fee, they must be registered with the Tax Practitioners Board as a BAS agent or tax agent. Top Accountants is a Registered Tax Agent (25377345). For your annual return, see our tax return service.
