Tax agent appointment: individual

Appoint Top Accountants as your registered tax agent. It takes about 3 minutes: fill in your details, read the authority, sign on screen and upload your photo ID.

After you sign: nothing to do with the ATO

Once we have verified your ID, we add you to our client list with the ATO using your TFN and date of birth. You don’t need to nominate us yourself. From 2027 the ATO plans to ask individuals to confirm a new tax agent in the ATO app or myGov; if you get that request, it will name Top Accountants, registered tax agent 25377345. ATO individual enquiries: 13 28 61.

I consent to receiving all correspondence electronically and agree that Top Accountants Pty. Ltd. may collect and use my TFN and personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988. To facilitate service delivery, I expressly consent to Top Accountants Pty. Ltd. using outsourced and/or offshore service providers, and to the storage of my provided information and prepared documents on third-party cloud databases (such as Google Drive or Dropbox). I acknowledge that this engagement is for the preparation and lodgment of returns based on information I provide, for which I retain full responsibility, and does not constitute a statutory financial audit. I acknowledge that Top Accountants Pty. Ltd. (Tax Agent 25377345) registration can be verified on the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) public register at www.tpb.gov.au/public-register, and that I have the right to make a complaint to the TPB at www.tpb.gov.au/complaints regarding the tax agent services provided.
